Ninth Street Day Care Nursery, Inc. is a charitable corporation established in 1956. It is a continuation of Nursery project conceived in 1910 by a group of women from the American Association of University Women to care for children of working parents.

The purpose of the Ninth Street Day Nursery is to promote the health and welfare of enrolled children of the city of Fall River and surrounding communities. The Nursery School, founded in 1910 was relocated to its current location at 533 Highland Avenue in Fall River in 1974. The purposes of the school have expanded over the years to meet the social changes and requirements of the community, also we have expanded our staff to include teachers qualified in Early Childhood Education.
